Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj are set to formalise their relationship with a wedding in Lucknow on December 4, drawing a new boundary line in a story that started far from any stadium or campaign trail.

The ceremony will take place at the Ramada Hotel in the Uttar Pradesh capital, with preparations now in full swing on both sides. The guest list is expected to remain intimate — family, close relatives and a handful of special invitees — a contrast to the public lives both now lead.

Rinku, who has carved out a place for himself in Indian cricket and become a fan favourite with Kolkata Knight Riders, hails from Uttar Pradesh. Priya represents Machhlishahr in the Lok Sabha as a Samajwadi Party MP, another rising figure from the same state. Their engagement was held in Lucknow as well, at The Centrum Hotel on June 8, 2025, anchoring their personal milestones firmly in the city.

During the Covid years, when the IPL shifted into a Mumbai bubble, Rinku came across Priya’s photograph on a fan page related to voting in her village. The image caught his attention immediately. He found her interesting, felt an instant pull, but hesitated over the first move.
