Talisca Leaves Fenerbahce for Al-Jazira

Anderson Talisca’s time at Fenerbahce is over almost as quickly as it began.

The Brazilian forward, who arrived in Istanbul in the mid-season window of the 2024-25 campaign, has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the Turkish giants. The club confirmed the decision with a short statement on X, noting that both parties had come to an agreement to end the deal and offering the customary good-luck message for the next stage of his career.

A short stint, a clean break, and a swift next step.

Talisca, formerly of Al-Nassr, is not hanging around in limbo. According to Transfermarkt, citing journalist Resat Can Ozbudak, the 30-year-old has already shaken hands on a move to UAE side Al-Jazira. If all goes to plan, he will join forces with compatriot Malcom, the ex-Al-Hilal winger, in what promises to be one of the most eye-catching attacking pairings in the Gulf region.

The outline of the deal is clear. Al-Jazira have agreed a two-year contract with Talisca, with an option for a third season. The financial package underlines the scale of their ambition: the Brazilian is set to earn an annual salary in excess of €10 million.

For a player whose game is built on swagger, long-range strikes and set-piece menace, Abu Dhabi offers both security and a platform. For Al-Jazira, it is a statement signing.
