Sorba Thomas Escapes Injury After Car Overturns Near Hull Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped injury after his car overturned in a crash close to the club’s training base on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old was involved in a collision on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, a short distance from Hull’s facilities. Images from the scene showed a grey Land Rover Defender on its roof, windows smashed, lying across the road.

Despite the dramatic wreckage, Thomas walked away from the vehicle.

Humberside Police confirmed emergency services remained at the scene as investigations continued and urged the public to stay away from the area while they worked.

Hull City later moved to calm growing concern as pictures of the overturned car spread quickly across social media.

In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn that Thomas, who only joined the Tigers from Championship side Stoke earlier this month, had not been hurt. The club added that he had “sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”
