Neymar’s family agency steps in
NR Sports, the agency linked to Neymar’s family, provided an immediate capital injection that allowed Santos to settle the debt and clear the embargo. In return, the club and the company will share control over unallocated kit sponsorship inventory, opening a new commercial front at Vila Belmiro.
Santos confirmed the breakthrough in an official statement on Thursday, declaring the transfer ban lifted and their ability to operate in the market restored. The message was blunt and badly needed: the club can buy again.
The move does not erase the wider problems. Santos are still wrestling with an estimated total debt of around £13m. But this deal buys time, flexibility and, crucially, access to reinforcements.
