Paris FC Targets Jonathan David as Immobile Replacement
Paris FC have moved into the frame for Jonathan David, with the Juventus forward pushed towards the door and a major decision looming over his next move, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
David, 26, arrived in Turin on a free from Lille OSC last summer, billed as a smart, low‑risk coup for Juventus. It never caught fire. The Canada international struggled to impose himself in Luciano Spalletti’s plans, and the club are now ready to cut ties after just one season.
That has alerted Paris FC, who suddenly find themselves lighter in attack than expected. Willem Geubbels was sold earlier in the summer and quickly replaced by Lassine Sinayoko, a move that seemed to tidy up the forward line and close that chapter.
Then came the shock.
Ciro Immobile, long expected to go around once more, walked into the dressing room last month and told his teammates he would retire. A planned final act turned into an abrupt curtain call, leaving Liam Rosenior with a hole not just in his squad list, but in the spine of his attack.
The search for an extra forward began in earnest. David’s name has climbed to the top of that list.
For Paris FC, the appeal is obvious.
