Omar Marmoush has barely walked through the doors at Tottenham Hotspur and already the Fantasy Premier League spotlight is swinging his way.

A £7.0m forward with a proven taste for home comforts. A manager in Roberto De Zerbi who doesn’t like to wait around. And a run of fixtures that almost looks tailor-made for an early-season punt.

This is exactly the kind of moment FPL managers live for.

Home comforts, new stage

Tottenham are one of only three clubs – alongside Bournemouth and Leeds United – who play three of their next four matches at home. For a player like Marmoush, that matters.

De Zerbi doesn’t wait

He featured prominently for Manchester City in pre-season, so match fitness is not a concern. De Zerbi has already shown he’s willing to throw new signings straight into the action.

The Brazilian, priced at £6.5m in Fantasy, made his Spurs debut in midweek against Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup – a day after completing his move from City. He responded with a goal and an assist.

That precedent matters. It strengthens the likelihood that Marmoush could be trusted with immediate minutes, possibly even a start, when Newcastle visit on Saturday evening.
