Eli Junior Kroupi’s rise has been swift. The recognition is catching up.

The Bournemouth forward has been shortlisted for the Men's Young Talent of the Year award ahead of the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony, a nod to a breakout season that turned quiet expectation into hard numbers.

At 20, Kroupi stands among elite company. He is one of only three Premier League players in the 10-man shortlist, joined by Manchester City’s Ayyoub Bouaddi and Aston Villa’s Johan Manzambi. The list is global, the competition fierce. His name is there on merit.

Kroupi arrived in the English top flight without fanfare and wasted no time changing that. After making his Bournemouth debut in August 2025, he went on to play 35 times across all competitions last season, scoring 13 goals. Not just bright moments, but sustained output.
